Dries Daems

Dries Daems is Assistant Professor of Spatial Digital Humanities at VU Amsterdam (Netherlands). He specializes in the study of the Hellenistic Mediterranean and Near East. His research interests include social complexity, urbanism, connectivity, artisanal production, and human-environment interactions through computational modeling, network analysis, and pottery studies. He is the author of Social Complexity and Complex Systems in Archaeology (Routledge, 2021).
