Monika Rekowska

Monika Rekowska is an associate professor at the University of Warsaw and a Classical archaeologist specializing in Roman architecture, particularly residential architecture. Her research focuses on the relationship between architecture and decoration within the social and cultural contexts of the Roman world. From 2005 to 2010, she participated in the archaeological investigation of the House of Leukaktios at Ptolemais in Libya. Since 2018, she has conducted archaeological research in Cyprus, including at Nea Paphos and Kourion, where she currently supervises a project investigating the sacred landscape of the rural hinterland.
