Melissa Eppihimer

Melissa Eppihimer is an instructor in the Department of History of Art and Architecture at the University of Pittsburgh, where she teaches courses on Mesopotamia, West Asia, and collecting. Her research examines the role of images in the formation and expression of historical consciousness in Mesopotamia. She received her doctorate from Harvard in 2009 and is currently preparing her dissertation (“The Visual Legacy of Akkadian Kingship”) for publication.
