Bartłomiej Lis is an associate professor at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences. His main research interest lies in Greek Bronze Age pottery, through which he investigates issues such as social status, foodways, trade and exchange, and human mobility. For the past 15 years he has participated in a number of excavation projects in Greece and beyond, including Tiryns, Mitrou, Eleon, as well as surface survey in the Bay of Porto Rafti. The development of Mycenaean culture in the area of coastal Thessaly is the focus of his current project. In this context, he is co-directing since 2022 a fieldwork project at the site of Mycenaean Pefkakia.
