Amy Rebecca Gansell
Amy Rebecca Gansell is an assistant professor of art history in the Department of Art and Design at St. John’s University (Queens, New York). Following her Ph.D. (Harvard, 2008), she served as the Associate Coordinator for Iraqi Cultural Heritage in the U.S. Department of State. She was also a postdoctoral research fellow at Emory University’s Fox Center for Humanistic Inquiry. Currently, she is writing a book on Neo-Assyrian queens (Oxford) and coediting two volumes: Testing the Canon of Ancient Near Eastern Art and Archaeology (Oxford) and CyberResearch on the Ancient Near East and Eastern Mediterranean (Brill).
