Andrew T. Creekmore III is associate professor of anthropology at the University of Northern Colorado. He has conducted fieldwork in Turkey, Israel, Palestine, Syria, Iraq, and the United States. His research focuses on the application of geophysics approaches to the spatial organization of settlements, especially ancient cities. He edited (with Kevin Fisher) Making Ancient Cities (Cambridge 2014), a volume focused on the social construction of cities in multiple world regions. His current projects include a study of city planning at Middle Bronze Age Kurd Qaburstan, Iraq, and Iron Age Tell es-Safi, Israel.
