Jessica Lamont is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Classics at Yale University, where she has worked since completing her Ph.D. at The Johns Hopkins University in 2016. Her research focuses on Greek social history, epigraphy, and material culture, and she is especially interested in “magical” practices from across the Mediterranean and beyond. Lamont is currently the President of the New Haven chapter of the Archaeological Institute of America, and the AIA’s 2020–21 Homer A. & Dorothy B. Thompson Lecturer.
