Maria Bonghi Jovino
Maria Bonghi Jovino is director of the Tarquinia Project and has been professor of etruscology and Italic archaelogy at the University of Milan. She has also directed excavations at Pompeii (Regio VI, Insula 5). She is a member of the Council of Istituto Nazionale di Studi Etruschi ed Italici in Florence and the Scientific Consulting Committee of Fondazione per il Museo “Claudia Faina” in Orvieto. She has organized various archaeological exhibitions: “Gli Etruschi di Cerveteri” (Milan 1980), “Gli Etruschi di Tarquinia” (Milan 1986), “Gli Etruschi di Cerveteri” (Milan 1986), “Acque profonde,” (Tarquinia 1998), and “Oltre le Colonne d’Ercole” (Milan 1999). She is the author of numerous books and articles and is the director of the series Capua Preromana, published by the Istituto Nazionale di Studi Etruschi ed Italici.
