Marcello Mogetta received a Ph.D. in classical art and archaeology from the University of Michigan and is currently a research fellow in the Kelsey Museum of Archaeology. Mogetta, educated at the University of Rome and the University of Basilicata at Matera, has worked in Italian field archaeology since 1998. He has previous field experience in a number of contexts, including excavation and survey work at Rome (Palatine Hill), Pompeii (Temple of Venus), and Torre di Donoratico. He is the managing director of the Gabii Project.
