Barry Molloy was awarded his doctorate from the School of Classics at University College Dublin in 2006. He worked briefly as research associate on the Cambridge Keros Project before taking up a Government of Ireland Postdoctoral Fellowship in the School of Archaeology, University College Dublin, from 2007 to 2009. His research interests include prehistoric combat and European Bronze Age weaponry. Barry is the Irish Institute of Hellenic Studies at Athens director of the excavations at Priniatikos Pyrgos in east Crete.
