J.A. Baird

J.A. Baird is a lecturer in archaeology in the Department of History, Classics and Archaeology at Birkbeck College, University of London. Her current research involves integrating architecture, artifacts, and textual evidence to examine ancient daily life and responses to Roman rule. Her research has focused on the site of Dura-Europos, where she has worked for several years, both in the field and in the archive at Yale. She also coedited (with C. Taylor) Ancient Graffiti in Context (New York 2010).
