Stephen H. Savage
Stephen H. Savage received his Ph.D. from Arizona State University in 1995, where he is IT manager for the Archaeological Research Institute and director of the Geo-Archaeological Information Applications Lab. His research interests include early complex societies in the Near East, the Levantine Bronze Age, Predynastic Egypt, mortuary and spatial analysis, GIS and remote sensing, and database architecture. He develops large-scale archaeological and GIS database applications, including the Digital Archaeological Atlas of the Holy Land. He has directed fieldwork in Egypt and Jordan and has been an American Center of Oriental Research (ACOR) Senior NEH Fellow and the recipient of a NASA Space Archaeology grant.
