Seth Bernard
Seth Bernard is Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. His research focuses on Roman social and economic history, with a particular focus on Republican Rome and Italy. He has recently published a book on urbanism, architecture, and economics in the city of Rome c. 400-200 B.C.E., Building Mid-Republican Rome: Labor, Architecture and the Urban Economy (Oxford 2018). He is currently co-directing excavations at the site of Populonia in Tuscany.
